Time is over now!

IS101-3205 was a wonderful class with lots of ups and downs. Personally, there was a point where I felt overwhelmed with the amount of work, but at the end of the day, it was my fault. I was grateful for our professor's constant motivation, which he provided me to get through the class. I am grateful for his support.

My classmates were wonderful, definitely a lot of motivated folks in that class. It was great to hear the presentations, that was an awesome way to get to know little bit about each other. I wish my classmates the best. Mr. Wu was a great asset to have in the classroom, he never gave me the answers but rather forced me to come up with the answer. I appreciate the amount of time he puts in us the students!

6.10.2 PowerPoint Print Options I learned how to format a slide show to print in different sections. I can also print out note sections for each slide. Now, next time I present, and I only have one scree,n printing out a notes section will come in handy.

I gained a lot from this class, from using backgrounds in Word to formulating spreadsheets in Excel. I learned that doing "half the work" will not give you full credit. It is either you do it or you don't! I learned that my classmates are driven individuals with bright futures ahead. Great to work with you guys! My classmates motivated me to finish this class all the way through!

Final Lap

I feel like I did well enough to pass my exam, but there was definitely room for improvement. I was really in the dust, but I knew that I had to get up and run. I used many weekends to catch up with assignments. I am so thankful for my professor who gave me the encouragement to get caught up.

5.3.1 Deleting and Clearing Cells was one that I found very useful because at work, I find myself deleting rows off spreadsheets. I also learned how to copy and paste rows without changing the format of a row or column. It comes in very handy when am moving rows to different sheets.

Since I am using Excel quite often at work, I will show my coworkers these tricks to help us get our job done faster. At work, we often rotate positions, and we use Excel to track items we issue out.

I will turn up the heat this final lap and get myself moving quicker. This phase was a good reflection point in my life as I begin to realize that I am capable to juggle multiple classes, work, and extra after-school activities. I am excited for what is next!

Almost there!

I did pretty well, but there is definitely room for improvement. I need to get out of the bad habit of procrastinating. This class is by no means is easy, it has taught me to stay on track with assignments. I will organize my time and spend more time on problems I struggle with.

Chapter 4 in LabSim has really helped me outside of school. Section 4.2.9 Document Tips has helped me at work, where I am occasionally printing out labels. Keeping the fonts the same and having borders makes the labels pop nicely.

I prepared for the upcoming MO-110 Word certification exam by working on the live projects until I felt like I had grasped the information and was able to finish it in a timely manner.

I would like to share with the world that I hope Barcelona wins the La Liga Title. We have a very strong team this year.

Hi, Internet From My Desk!

Hello world! I am Yahir Barrientos and am new to all this so please take it easy on me!

I am currently a student at the College of Southern Nevada, and I will be graduating in a year with an Associate of Applied Science in Construction Management.  I didn’t have much technology growing up besides a Chromebook that was borrowed in middle school. I got my first phone in high school. Technology is fascinating to me although I am still learning the webs of the internet, it amazes me the endless possibilities the internet provides. The outdoors is where someone can find me or spending time with my animals. I enjoy riding my dirt bike on trails that lead me to amazing views.

I had no clue what I was signing up for, but IS101 conveniently fell in line with my schedule because I don’t work on the weekends, and I needed some discipline in my life. I felt intimidated on my first day of IS101 because I had never had to video call a professor. Speaking with Professor Wu, he made me realize that I should not be intimidated, but I should feel confident.

The skill I choose in D2 Part 2 was 0.7 - Keyboard Shortcuts in Labs. My experience using this skill has improved my daily life greatly. I have applied these skills at work immediately, to the point that it is starting to come naturally. The shortcuts I learned like, "Ctrl F" to find a word has saved me so much time because sometimes I am endlessly scrolling and with this short cut, I find what I am looking for quickly. Other shortcuts I find I try to apply them correctly when necessary.
